Fethiye

Fethiye, the nearest main coastal town is Fethiye (about 45 min. by car) with a number of beaches within easy reach. Fethiye is a bustling working town and port. The port has everything: yachts, Gulets, which take you on trips round the bay, and freighters.
As you would expect there is a permanent fruit and vegetable market. The fish market, whilst small, has the advantage of being surrounded by restaurants to which you can take your freshly purchased fish to have cooked for you. Tuesday is market day in Fethiye and is well worth a visit for the most amazing range of 'designer-label' clothes; we have also found games and ironmongery.

The bay has numerous inlets and islands. We and our guests have had several wonderful days out on a boat from Calis Beach. For a party of 10 or so, you have the boat to yourself and get taken to explore the bay. An amazing lunch is included.
